Guildwood, also known as Guildwood Village is a historic and residential neighborhood in the Scarborough,ON area. Its located near the Scarborough Bluff area and also runs near south of Kingston Rd. The Guildwood Village was developed around the Inn which started in 1957. This neighborhood started a trend for near by areas by including winding roads and cul-de-sacs to reduce traffic. One of Guildwood Parkway's historic architecture is the Guild Inn, a former arts centre and hotel inside Guildwood park, which was operated by the city of Toronto. Unfortunately the inn closed in 2001, however west of the now closed inn is the high school Sir Wilfrid Laurier Collegiate Institute, its named in honor of Sir Wilfrid Laurier, the seventh prime minister of Canada. The liberal member of Parliament that's currently riding for MP in Guildwood Village is John Mckay, and for MPP Margarett Best. Surprisingly this community is home to many movies such as "The Skulls" which is a 2000 American psychological thriller. It is also home to the TV show "Odyssey 5" and Canadians rapper/singer Drake for his 2011 music video of the song "Headlines". As of recently Saini Surimder's music video for a currently unreleased track as of February 2012 was shot at the Guildwood amphiltheature.
